Rose Cottage is a charming stone semi-detached cottage, looking onto Kirtlington village North Green. It was built in about 1700, with even older features. The interior has been modernised for comfortable living.
Kirtlington is an ancient and attractive village, ten miles north of Oxford. On the edge of the Cotswolds, the surrounding area is well known for its beautiful countryside and walks. One of the walks takes you to Pigeon Lock, on the Oxford Canal where you will often see narrowboats moored. Woodstock, with the famous Blenheim Palace is also nearby.
The beautiful city of Oxford is only 10 miles away. We will leave information about how to use the Park and Ride, or the bus service from Kirtlington to Oxford, and what's on in the city at the time of your stay.
Kirtlington Polo ground is 5-10 minutes walk away with fixtures from mid April to mid September.
Only 10 minutes from the M40 means easy access to London and other parts of the country. Bicester Village, with a vast array of factory outlets, is only 10-15 minutes drive away.
Kirtlington Golf Club, on the outskirts of the village, welcomes visitors.
Kirtlington boasts two excellent venues to eat out, the Oxford Arms which is a popular 'gastro pub', and the Dashwood Hotel restaurant.
